During the first few hours of engine operation, the frictional forces generated by the engine's component parts are significantly higher than the frictional forces generated between the moving parts after they have been lapped together.
For the first 1000 km of run
- Do not open the throttle fully.
- Vehicle speed must not exceed 3/4 of the maximum speed.
- Avoid high engine speeds.
- Avoid towing a trailer if possible.
Attention: New tires tend to have poor road grip. They also require a rolling period. Do not forget about it during the first 160 km of run. New brake pads or drum brake linings also do not have optimal friction properties, so it is necessary to recycle them within 150-200 km of urban driving. As a compensatory action in the process of driving, you can exert more effort on the brake pedal. The same actions must be carried out when replacing brake pads or drum brake linings.
1000-1500 km run
Vehicle speed and engine speed can be gradually increased to maximum.
During break-in and after break-in
- Do not develop high engine speeds when it is cold.
Unnecessarily do not drive the car at high engine speeds. Upshifting saves fuel, reduces engine noise and protects the environment.
- Do not load the engine, if the engine runs rough, downshift.
Post-break-in period
The maximum allowable rotation speed of the gasoline engine is 6300 rpm (129 hp engine - 6800 sb / min, diesel engine days - 52°C rpm). Before the tachometer needle reaches the red area of the dial, shift to a higher gear. The increased engine speed is reduced automatically.
