Examination



Warm up the engine, the oil temperature should be at least +60°C.

The radiator fan should not work.

Air damper (upper valve in carburetor) must be completely open.

Connect the speed meter.

For the specified speed value, see the table "Basic data of the carburetor".

Caution: The idle speed control switch must be connected during testing.

Adjustment



The idle speed and CO content are adjusted by alternately rotating the adjusting screws.

The oil temperature must be at least +60°C.

The air damper must be fully open.

Turn off all electrical consumers (light, air conditioning, etc.).

The radiator fan should not work.

Disconnect the connectors from the idle speed control switch and connect them together (arrow).

Check the CO content and, if necessary, adjust it with the CO content adjustment screw. For the specified value, see the "Basic Carburetor Data" table.

Connect the idle speed stabilization system switch and check the CO content again. For the specified value, see the "Basic carburetor data" table.

After completing the adjustment, seal the CO content adjustment screw with a blue cap.

Caution: After adjusting the CO content, reconnect the crankcase ventilation hose. If the CO content increases, the cause is not an incorrect adjustment, but rather waste discharge from the crankcase due to oil dilution during operation, mainly on short sections. After repeated long-distance driving, the proportion of fuel in the oil and the retention of CO in the exhaust are normalized. This can also be achieved more quickly by driving at high speed for about 30 minutes or by changing the oil.
