Fault detection and error indication

The on-board network control system is equipped with a self-diagnosis function, which facilitates the search for errors. To search for faults, use the tester -VAS 5051A- in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode.

Instructions: The following pictures show the work on the rear light in the side panel on the left side. The work on the rear light in the side panel on the right side is performed in a similar way. In addition to a separate turn signal lamp, the rear light in the side panel contains two unified incandescent lamps, which, depending on the configuration, perform the function of a brake light and a rear light.

Removal and installation the rear light in the side of the body

Instructions: The following figures show the work on removing and installing the tail light in the side on the left side. Work on the tail light in the side on the right side is performed similarly. The tail light in the side contains two unifilater incandescent lamps, which, depending on the configuration, perform the function of a brake light and a rear light.

Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. Unscrew both screws securing the "arrow".



Open cover "1" on the side of the trunk.



To unlock, turn screw "1" in the direction of the "arrow" approximately 90° until it stops.




Remove the rear light "1" in the -direction of the arrow-, taking into account the lengths of the connected wires, from the retainer "2" back out of the opening in the body.



Disconnect and unlock connector "2" and remove rear light sensor "1".



Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Turn screw "1" in the direction of the "arrow" approximately 90° until it stops and close the cover in the side.

Instructions: When connecting the rear light plug to the side of the body, a click should be "heard".

Insert the connector. Slide the rear light mount "1" correctly into the side locking mechanism "2" until it locks into place audibly. Tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque. After installation, check the operation of the rear light and the gap size between the light and the body.

Replacing the rear side light bulbs

Instructions: The following pictures show the replacement of the left rear light bulb "M4" in the side panel on the left side of the car. The replacement of the right rear light bulb "M2" in the side panel of the body on the right side is done in a similar way. The rear light in the side panel contains two unifilater incandescent bulbs, which, depending on the configuration, perform the function of a brake light and a rear light.

Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers, remove the ignition key. Remove the rear light on the side of the body. Press the rear light clips in the direction of the arrow and remove the lamp block "1" from the rear light.



Press the corresponding rear light bulb "1" lightly into the socket, turn in the direction of the arrow - and remove from the socket. Rear light bulb: 12 V, 21 W.



Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Instructions: When installing the rear light bulb socket, make sure that it is securely fastened with all three fasteners in the rear light housing.
