Removal and installation the trim from the threshold side
Instructions: The following describes the work on removal and installation on the left side of the car. The work on removal and installation on the right side of the car is carried out in a similar manner.
Remove the backrest adjustment handle. Pull up the height adjustment handle "1". From the inside of the height adjustment handle, use a small screwdriver to press the tab of the fastening bracket "2" towards the threshold and remove the handle from the lever "3".
Instructions: For clarity, the mounting bracket is shown removed.
Remove bracket "1" from lever "3".
Unscrew screw "1" (2 Nm). Press the expansion rod "2" inward from the expansion piston "3". Remove the expansion piston. Remove the trim "4" from the mounting holes in the seat frame, moving it toward the front of the vehicle.
Removal and installation the trim bracket from the threshold side
Instructions: The work on removing and installing the left side of the car is described below. The work on removing and installing the right side of the car is carried out in a similar manner.
Remove the backrest adjustment handle. Remove the trim from the threshold side. Unscrew screw "1" (2 Nm). Unscrew two screws "2" (8 Nm). Remove bracket "3" from the seat frame.
Removal and installation lumbar support (with manual adjustment in 2 directions)
Install the seat repair bracket -VAS 6136- on the test stand -VAS 6095-. Remove the front seat. Secure the seat to the bracket -VAS 6136-. Remove the front seat belt buckle. Remove the trim on the tunnel side. Remove the backrest adjustment handle. Remove the trim on the sill side. Remove the seat back. Secure the backrest to the bracket -VAS 6136-. Remove the lumbar support adjustment lever. Remove the folding table from the backrest. Remove the cushion and the backrest cover of the front seat. Unscrew the two screws "1" of the drive mechanism (1.5±1 Nm). Disconnect the side clips "2" and "3" from the backrest frame. Disconnect the side springs. Remove the lumbar support "4" from the upper mounting sockets "arrow" in the backrest frame.
