Removal
Please note: The Kafer 1200 engine has a single intake manifold.
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
Disconnect the hoses, rod and electrical wires from the carburetor.
Remove the air filter.
Remove the rear engine cover.
Unscrew two nuts on the left and right sides of the two divided intake manifolds on the cylinder head.
Note: This requires a special 10mm offset open-end wrench.
Loosen two bolts on both flanges of the preheating air ducts.
Loosen the 4 clamps on the rubber hoses between the intake manifold and the intake manifold.
Remove the intake pipe together with the carburetor. Remove the seals from the preheating air duct flanges and cylinder heads.
Installation
Attention! Use new seals during installation.
Install the intake manifold complete with the carburetor.
For vehicles with 1.3- and 1.6-liter engines: carefully align the intake manifold near the rubber bellows and tighten the clamp mounting bolts. Make sure that the sockets are clean in the areas where they fit and are securely fastened.
Install the rear engine cover.
Connect the electrical wires, rod and hoses to the carburetor.
Install the air filter, connect the ground wire to the battery.
