Removing
Attention! The engine of the Kafer 1200 has a single intake manifold.
Disconnect wire "masses" from the battery.
Disconnect the hoses, rods and electrical wires from the carburetor.
Remove air filter.
Remove the rear engine cover.
Loosen the two nuts on the left and right of the two split inlet pipes on the cylinder head.
Note. To do this, you will need a special curved 10 mm box wrench.
Loosen two bolts on both flanges of the preheating ducts.
Loosen the 4 clamps on the rubber fittings between the inlet pipe and the inlet pipe.
Remove the intake pipe together with the carburetor. Remove the gaskets from the flanges of the preheating ducts and cylinder heads.
Installation
Attention! Use new seals when installing.
Install intake manifold complete with carburetor.
On vehicles with 1.3- and 1.6-litre engines: Carefully align the intake pipe near the rubber flares and tighten the clamp bolts. Make sure that the sockets are clean at the fittings and securely fastened.
Install the rear engine cover.
Connect the electrical wires, rods and hoses to the carburetor.
Install air filter, connect wire "masses" to the battery.
