Engine and cylinder protective covers
Removal
Disconnect the left and right heating ducts between the fan housing and the heat exchanger.
Disconnect the carburetor heater warm air hoses.
Remove the lower belt pulley cover.
Remove the left and right halves of the intake manifold and heating air duct housing. Remove the covers carefully, as the asbestos half rings may stick to the heating duct.
Remove the rear engine cover.
Installation
Secure the lower belt pulley cover.
Install and secure the rear engine cover.
When installing the half-casings, make sure that the asbestos gaskets are not damaged and fit perfectly. To avoid knocking, the heat exchanger connection fittings must not touch the engine protective cover.
Connect the air ducts.
Carefully place the engine compartment seal.
