Turn the boot back inside out.

Remove the CV joint from the drive shaft using punch A (Fig. 3.99).
The pin must be installed exactly on the star-shaped collar of the joint.
Pressing the CV joint onto the drive shaft
Press the shaft in using a plastic hammer until the retaining ring locks into place.

Using a punch, remove the boot from the joint.
Remove the retaining ring.
Remove both clamps and move the boot towards the outer CV joint.
