Remove the oil pan.

Remove the chain cover. If necessary, release the locking tabs through the holes with a small screwdriver (fig. 2.174).

Loosen the bolt securing the oil pump chain drive sprocket (fig. 2.175). You can hold it by the central bolt of the vibration damper.
Caution: It is prohibited to unscrew the balance shaft drive sprocket.

Loosen the tensioner bar with a screwdriver and secure it with a hex key 1, spanner size 3 mm (fig. 2.176).

Remove the oil pump sprocket and hang the chain on the balance shaft drive (fig. 2.177).

Loosen the balance shaft drive bolts from the edges to the center and remove it (fig. 2.178).
Remove the intermediate plate.
