Exhaust gas recirculation device (engines BLR, BLX, BVX, BVY) (VW Passat B6)

Note: Under certain operating conditions, exhaust gases are fed into the intake air via the EGR valve. This mixture reduces the temperature in the combustion chamber and thus improves the quality of the exhaust gases.

Note: The EGR valve is controlled by the engine control unit.

Note: The EGR valve position signal is sent to the engine control unit from the EGR potentiometer. The valve and potentiometer are installed as one part.

Note: If the exhaust gas recirculation valve is blocked in the open state, it is noticeable that the engine is running unsteadily at idle.
