If you cannot pull the release button A upwards, use key B to unlock the lock located on the button (Fig. 1.60).
Folding the backrest

Pull up button A and at the same time tilt the backrest forward (Fig. 1.61). Now you will see a red mark on the button.
In this case, the head restraints may remain on the seat if the backrests of the front seats are at a sufficient distance.
The seat belt must not pass over the folded seat back, as this will interfere with the proper operation of the tensioner.
Folding the backrest back into place
Fold the backrest back into place and secure it securely. The red mark on the A key should no longer be visible.
Make sure that the seat belts are not caught and damaged when the seat backs are folded back.
Caution: The seat back must be securely locked to prevent any objects from being thrown forward in the event of emergency braking.
