If it is not possible to pull up the release button A, use the key B to unlock the lock located on the button (pic. 1.60).
Backrest folding

Pull up button A and at the same time tilt the backrest forward (pic. 1.61). You will now see a red mark on the button.
In this case, the head restraints can remain on the seat if the front seat backrests are at a sufficient distance.
The seat belt must not pass over the folded backrest, otherwise the tensioner will not work properly.
Reclining the back into place
Fold the backrest into place and lock it securely. The red marking on button A must no longer be visible.
Make sure that the seat belts are not pinched when the seat backs are folded down and thus damaged.
Attention: The seatback must be securely fixed so that during emergency braking, no objects from the trunk can be thrown forward.
