Headrests (VW Passat B6)

The headrests are height-adjustable according to the person's body type. Correctly installed headrests provide effective protection together with the seat belts.

Height adjustment

– Grasp the headrest with both hands from the sides and move it up or down.

– The greatest degree of safety is achieved when the top edge of the head restraint is not below eye level.

Removal and installation the headrest

To remove the headrest, pull it up until it stops, press the button (see arrow in figure 1.57) and at the same time remove the headrest.

The rear head restraints can only be removed when the seat back is tilted slightly forward.

To install the headrest, push the headrest rods into the guide holes until you hear a click, indicating that the lock is engaged.
