Five-speed gearbox
To engage reverse gear with this transmission, there is no need to press the shift lever down first.
Reverse gear should only be engaged when the car has come to a complete stop. When the engine is running, briefly fully depress the clutch pedal and wait a little to avoid grinding when engaging the gear.
When reverse gear is engaged and the ignition is on, the reversing lights come on.
Note: While driving, the driver's right hand should not be constantly on the gear shift lever handle;
Note: The force from the weight of your hand is transferred to the gear forks, which can lead to accelerated wear of the forks.
