Attention: Incorrect maintenance of the steering column can result in damage to the steering column and reduce safety.
Rules for servicing and transporting the steering column
Carry the steering column with both hands.
Grasp the steering column at the top of the steering shaft tube and in the area of the upper universal joint

During transport, the clamping lever 1 must always point upwards so that the PTO shaft does not come into contact with the steering column lock 2 (pic. 5.13).
Transportation by the following elements leads to hidden damage to the steering column:
- 1 - clamping lever;
- 2 - balancing springs;
- 3 - deformation element.

Attention: The following actions lead to damage to the steering column lock 1.
Attention: Transporting the steering column with one hand by the cardan shaft.
Attention: The bend of the hinges is more than 90°and contact with the steering column lock.
Attention: Laying the cardan shaft on the steering column lock.
Attention: Laying the steering column on its lock.
