Removing
1. Loosen the wheel bolts, then lift the appropriate part of the vehicle and secure it on stands. Remove the corresponding wheel.
2. To reduce the loss of brake fluid, remove the cap from the reservoir of the brake system, close the neck of the reservoir with polyethylene and screw the cap back on. This is necessary so that the lid hermetically closes the replenishment tank. Alternatively, use a clamp to compress the brake hose leading to the caliper.
3. Unscrew the two bolts and remove the caliper holder with caliper from the steering knuckle.
4. Clean the area around the junction of the brake hose and brake pipe and unscrew the brake hose. Close the openings in the brake hose and pipeline with suitable plugs.
5. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the rear brake caliper.
6. Remove the support.
7. Remove the brake disc.
Installation
1. Check the condition and measure the brake disc thickness.
Warning: If the brake disc needs to be replaced, the second brake disc must also be replaced to ensure uniform braking. When replacing the brake discs, the brake pads must also be replaced.
2. Check and, if necessary, clean the mating surfaces of the brake disc and hub. When installing a new brake disc, remove the protective coating from its surface.
3. Install the brake disc on the wheel hub.
4. Install the caliper with brake pads. Do not kink the brake hose while doing this. Check that when the front wheel is fully rotated, the brake hose does not come into contact with the front suspension elements and the body.
5. Fasten the caliper with bolts and tighten the front caliper mounting bolts to 120 Nm, and the rear caliper mounting bolts to 95 Nm. If bolts with a ribbed head base are being reinstalled, use a wire brush to clean the ribbed surface.
6. If the brake hose was disconnected, screw it back in place.
7. Remove the polyethylene from the filler neck of the replenishment tank and bleed the appropriate brake circuit.
8. Install the wheel and lower the car to the ground. Tighten the wheel bolts diagonally to 120 Nm.
9. Press the brake pedal hard several times to press the brake pads against the brake disc.
10. Check the fluid level in the reservoir of the brake system.
