Stationary jack
Suitable rubber pads must be used to avoid damage to the underside of the vehicle.
Under no circumstances should the vehicle be lifted by the pallet (oil sump) engine, gearbox, rear or front axle (suspension beam), otherwise it may be seriously damaged.
Attention: Never start the engine with the vehicle raised - there is a risk of damage to the vehicle and personal injury!
Attention: When working under the vehicle, it must be securely fixed on stands.
Car overpass (platform lift)
Before driving onto a lift platform or overpass, make sure that there is sufficient distance between the low-lying parts of the vehicle and the platform.
Mounting points for jack and lift
The vehicle may only be lifted from the places indicated in the figure, i.e. install lifting devices under the body base stiffeners, drawing B31-077C - front points for jacking drawing B31-078C - rear points for jacking (paws) The jack or lift ball is located under the middle of the recess in the sill of the body.
The platform of the jack or lift must not be installed under the vertical flanging (stiffener) body threshold. State jack.
