Street salt is especially dangerous for the internal folds, flanges and joints of doors and hoods. Therefore, these areas should be thoroughly cleaned with a sponge at each wash, as well as after washing in an automatic car wash, and then rinsed and wiped with leather.
Note: After washing the car, the braking effect is reduced due to dampness. Therefore, disc brakes should be dried by short braking sessions.
Washing alone does not always remove tar splashes, oil stains, insects and other contaminants. Such contaminants must be removed as soon as possible, otherwise they may cause damage to the paintwork. After removal, the varnish in the appropriate places must be treated with a preservative.
