- use enough water;
- wash the car with a sponge or a very soft washing brush with a hose connection;
- do not direct a strong jet of water at the car, but only wash and soften the dirt with it;
- wash off soaked dirt from top to bottom with a sufficient amount of water;
- rinse the sponge often;
- use only high-quality detergents;
- to remove detergent residues, be sure to rinse the car with clean water;
- with regular use of detergents, often preserve the body;
- never wash or dry the car in the sun. In this case, spots are inevitably formed on the body.
Particularly dangerous for internal grooves, flanges, joints of doors and the hood is the ingress of salt spilled on the roads in winter on them. Therefore, every car wash (including washing in automatic installations) these places must be cleaned with a sponge, followed by rinsing and drying.
When washing, it is not always possible to remove resin drops, traces of oil, insect residues and other contaminants. Such contaminants must be removed as soon as possible by special means to avoid damage to the painted surfaces.
