Removal



Raise the front of the car, place it on stands and remove the wheels.

Manually detach the upper and lower retaining springs (except for vehicles manufactured after February 1, 1984.)

Turn the guide pins completely out.

Remove the caliper.

Remove the brake pads from the guide.

On vehicles produced after February 1, 1984, remove the pressure springs.

Clean the pad pockets in the caliper and move the piston as far as possible into the cylinder, trying to prevent the brake fluid from splashing out of the master cylinder reservoir. If necessary, remove some of the brake fluid from the reservoir with a syringe.

Installation



On vehicles produced after February 1, 1984, reinstall the pressure springs.

Install new brake pads.

Install the caliper, screw in and tighten the guide pins to a torque of 4 kgf·m.

Attach the retaining springs (except for vehicles manufactured after February 1, 1984.).

Replace the brake pads of the other wheel in the same way.

Press the brake pedal several times to set the pistons to the working position.

Check and, if necessary, restore the brake fluid level in the reservoir.

Install the wheels and lower the car to the floor.

3 - A: support; B: shoe guide;
4 - A: Setting spring of locking pins; B: retaining springs;
5 - pressure spring;
6 - locking pins of the pads;
7 — nipple for bleeding the brake drive;
8 - protective cap and sealing ring;
9 - brake pads.
