Removing
Raise the front of the car, put it on stands and remove the wheels.
Disconnect upper and lower retaining springs by hand (except for cars produced from February 1, 1984)
Unscrew guide pins completely.
Remove support.
Remove the brake pads from the guide.
On cars manufactured after February 1, 1984, remove the clamping springs.
Clean the pad pockets in the caliper and move the piston as far into the cylinder as possible, being careful not to splash brake fluid out of the master cylinder reservoir. If necessary, remove part of the brake fluid from the reservoir with a syringe.
Installation
On cars produced after February 1, 1984, reinstall the clamping springs.
Install new brake pads.
Install the caliper, wrap and tighten the guide pins to a torque of 4 kgf·m.
Attach retaining springs (except for vehicles produced after February 1, 1984).
Replace the brake pads on the other wheel in the same way.
Press the brake pedal several times to set the pistons to the working position.
Check and, if necessary, top up the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
Install the wheels and lower the car to the floor.
