No special devices or tools are required.

Necessary consumables: replaceable filter element.

The cabin filter is located under the dashboard.

Removal



1. Unscrew the fasteners A and remove the noise-damping pad B (see illustration).

Attention! Instead of thread locks A, type C or D locks can be installed (see illustration 27.1).


2. Unscrew screws A, if any (see illustration).

Attention! Screws A are not available on all models. They are used to additionally secure the cover B if the fasteners D do not ensure proper fit of the cover (see illustration 27.2).


3. Move cover B in the direction of arrow C and remove it (see illustration 27.2).



4. Remove filter element A from housing B (see illustration).

5. Clean the inside of the filter housing B (see illustration 27.4).

The filter is installed in the reverse order of removal.

6. Remove pads 1 and 2 (see illustration).

7. Remove cover 3 by moving it in the direction of the arrow (see illustration 27.6).

8. Remove the filter element from the housing and install a new one.

Installation of removed parts is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Sunroof - Cleaning and lubrication of guides



No special devices or tools are required.

Necessary consumables: special lubricant VW-G OOO450 02.

9. Open the hatch and wipe its guides (see arrows in the illustration).

Caution! Cover the roof surface adjacent to the hatch with newspapers to prevent grease from getting on the paintwork. Remove any grease that gets on the roof.



10. Lubricate the guides with special grease VW-G 000 450 02.

If water gets into the car through the sunroof during rainy weather or when washing the car, contact a workshop to fix the defect.

Door opening limiters - lubrication



No special devices or tools are required.

Necessary consumables: special grease VW-G 000 150.

11. Lubricate the door opening limiters in the places indicated by the arrows with VW-G 000 150 grease (see illustration).
