Removal
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Open the tailgate and remove the lower portion of the door trim and the window opening trim on the tailgate.
4. Golf cars: Remove the 2 additional brake light clips from the holder by moving them in the direction shown by the arrow (see illustration) and remove the brake light.
5. Touran cars. Unscrew the bolts (see arrows in the illustration) and disconnect the additional brake light from the trunk lid.
6. Disconnect the power plug from the additional brake light.
Installation
The installation of the additional brake light is performed in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that the brake light sealing gasket is seated correctly.
