In 1988, the relay was replaced in Jetta cars, and in the beginning of 1989 also in Golf cars. Therefore, before replacing it is necessary to find the necessary list of relays for the corresponding year.
The numbers given at the contacts facilitate finding the corresponding connection indicated on the electrical diagram. The relays are fixed in the plate with the help of knife joints. To remove the relay, it is simply necessary to take it out of the plate (figure 4.15 and 4.17)

20 - driver's seat heating relay.
21 - passenger seat heating relay.
22 - free.
