Quartz watches are very accurate. If they don't work at all, you should limit yourself to checking the corresponding fuse or wire.
Direction indicator control
The turn signal control device is connected on one side near terminal 49a of the flashing signal relay and receives pulses from there. On the other side, the device is connected to terminal 15, which only gives voltage when the ignition is on. If this terminal is disconnected, the device does not respond to the system pulses. If voltage comes from terminal 15 when the ignition is on, then in the interval between pulses the current circuit is closed through the negative contact of the relay, and the control lamp flashes.
