Examination
If the direction indicators on one side are faster than those on the other, then "fast" side, the incandescent lamp is out of order or an open in the circuit.
In all other cases, the main cause of the malfunction is the relay.
The connection terminals of the turn signal relay are marked:
- terminal 31 is ground (minus, common in the electrical system of the machine);
- terminal 49 - relay input (plus applied constantly), terminal 49a - relay output;
- terminal C leads to a warning light on the instrument panel, in case of a tow hitch (additional equipment) there may be an additional terminal C2 for a trailer contrast lamp.
1. If there is no new relay at hand, connect terminals 49 and 49a with a thin wire.
Attention! Do not damage sensitive relay contacts. Bend the ends of the wire before connecting so that there are no sharp edges. Reinstall the faulty relay. Its contacts are so long that they allow it to be done, despite the jumper.
2. Turn on the ignition. If you now turn on the direction indicator, then the corresponding direction indicators will light up with a constant light. By turning the turn signal on and off, you can set the rhythm, however, without delay, you need to install a new relay.
3. If, despite the jumper, the direction indicators do not light up, then the direction indicator switch or the voltage supply conductor is faulty.
