Rear Window Heated — Description and Testing (VW Transporter T4)

After the rear window heating is turned on, it heats up, clearing it of moisture and ice, with current passing through visible conductors.

Examination

1. If there is a fault, first check the fuse in the fuse box.

2. If the fuse is OK, check the reliability of the connector and the wire going to the rear window. If necessary, clean the dirty contacts.

3. If the heating still does not work, check the switch.

4. If the filaments are broken, then in this case a conductive varnish, which is available on the market, will help.
