Relays and fuses
In order to prevent damage to wires or consumers due to short circuits or overloads, individual circuits are protected by fuses. The fuses used meet the increased technical requirements. They are equipped with blade contacts and cannot be replaced by fuses used previously. Relays and fuses are in one box, closed with a lid and located to the left of the instrument panel.
1. Unlock the lid by turning the button 90° (1/4 turn) left or right. Flip the cover down.
2. Switch off the relevant consumer before replacing a fuse.
3. A blown fuse can be seen from the burnt metal strip. The location of the most important fuses is indicated on the back of the cover and in the operating instructions for the machine.
4. Remove the defective fuse.
5. Install a new fuse with the same current rating.
6. If the new fuse blows after a short time, the corresponding circuit must be checked.
7. Never install a wire instead of a fuse. This can lead to failure of the electrical system.
8. It is advisable to carry spare fuses in the car, designed for different amperages.
9. Rated current (A) fuse is embossed on the back of the neck (the designation is indicated by an arrow). In addition, the neck has an identification color, which can also be used to determine the rated current.
10. Raise and close the lid.
Rated current, A | Identification color |
5 | beige |
10 | red |
15 | blue |
20 | yellow |
