LED test
Examination
1. Connect the LED to a 1.8 V DC source. The diode should be on. Installed (on the instrument panel) pre-resistances are connected, which reduce the voltage of the battery (12 V) up to 1.8 V.
Attention! Pay attention to correct polarity. The negative pole of the LED is marked with a phase (1) on the body of the diode and a large pole (2) in the body of the diode. For some diodes, the negative connection is additionally bent.
2. In factories, a VW-1315A digital multimeter is used for this purpose. Press the resistance and voltage buttons at the same time. Connect the red terminal to the direct, positive connection of the diode, the black terminal to the black, bent negative connection. The diode should burn, otherwise it must be replaced.
