When the front wheels are removed to check the pads, the condition of the brake discs is also checked.
Discs must not have deep grooves (due to dirt or excessively worn linings).
The grooves cut deep into the new brake linings, which significantly reduces their service life.
Grooved brake discs can be re-sanded if they have not yet become too thin due to prolonged use.
The permissible minimum brake disc thickness is 10 mm.
Discs that are too thin should be replaced in pairs, i.e. simultaneously on the same axis (see section "Removing the brake disc", chapter "brakes").
If the color of the brake disc changes to bluish, then the disc has been overheated and needs to be replaced.
