2. Mark the position of the disc relative to the hub with paint in order to install the balanced wheel in its original position.
3. Place the machine on stands.
4. Remove the wheel.

5. Measure the thickness of the brake disc. Factories use a special template or micrometer for this, since a flange forms when the disc wears out. You can also measure the thickness of the brake disc with an ordinary caliper. In this case, it is necessary to install a lining of the appropriate thickness on both sides of the brake disc.
6. To obtain the exact thickness of the brake disc, it is necessary to subtract the thickness of the linings from the measured size.
Attention! Take measurements in several places.
7. The brake disc dimensions are given in subsection 7.2.
8. Always replace both brake discs, even if only one of the discs has reached the wear limit.
9. If there are large risks or grooves deeper than 0.5 mm, replace the brake disc.
