The basic adjustment of the rear wheel brake is made with the brake drum removed.
The brake pads can only be adjusted with the brake drum removed.
1. The handbrake lever in the driver's compartment must be loose and at the bottom.
2. Loosen the handbrake cable adjusting nut.
3. Shift the brake pads towards the brake mount and center by eye.
4. Turning the adjusting gear (rear through the brake pad) adjust brake pads (A), (a = inner diameter of the brake drum minus 1.0 mm). Example: The inner diameter of the brake drum is 268.0 mm, then the diameter (A) brake pad adjustment is 267.0 mm.
5. Then adjust the handbrake.
