In the braking system, the connection of the master brake cylinder to the wheel brakes is provided by brake hoses and tubes.

Brake hoses provide a flexible connection between rigidly fixed and moving machine parts.

Replacement

1. Place the machine on trestles.

2. Disconnect the brake line from the union nuts and remove.

3. Close the connection of the pipeline towards the master cylinder with a suitable plug or first suck out the brake fluid from the expansion tank with a bulb.

The information is available on the website (VWMANUAL.ru)

4. Place the brake pipe, if possible, in its old place.

5. If necessary, replace the brake hose on the brake mechanism (saddle). It is necessary to remove the brake mechanism first.

6. Install the new brake hose. Position it so that it hangs without twisting and tighten it to 15 Nm.

7. Install hoses approved by the factory.

8. After installation with unloaded wheel (the car is lifted), check whether the hose responds to all wheel movements and does not rub in any places.

Caution! Do not allow the hose to come into contact with oil or petrol, do not varnish or cover with underbody protection.

9. Bleed the brake system.

10. Remove the car from the stands.
