To prevent injury to workers and / or damage to the ignition system, the following rules must be observed:
Do not touch or disconnect the ignition wires with your hands while the engine is running or starting.
Disconnect the ignition wires only when the ignition is off.
Connecting and disconnecting control devices (speed meter, stroboscope), as well as wires of the ignition system, to be carried out only with the ignition off. To terminal 1 (-) ignition coils, it is forbidden to connect a radio interference capacitor and a test lamp.
Do not connect gauges and a 12 volt stroboscope to terminal 15 or the ignition coil while the engine is running.
high voltage wire (terminal 4) after disconnecting it, be sure to connect it directly to the mass, for which use a jumper of sufficient cross section, otherwise it is forbidden to turn the engine with a starter (e.g. when checking compression, checking the ignition control unit).
It is allowed to start the engine from a fast battery charger with a voltage of 16.5 V for no longer than 1 minute. The ignition coil cannot be replaced with a conventional ignition coil.
When heated to temperatures above +80°С (e.g. when painting a car) Do not start the engine immediately after the warm-up phase.
When carrying out electric welding work, disconnect the battery from the electrical system.
Wash the car only with the ignition off.
Ignition distributor slider 1 com (index R1) do not change to a different type of slider, also when installing an RFI filter.
When filtering radio interference, install only high-voltage wires with a resistance of 1 kΩ and candle tips with a resistance of 1 to 5 kΩ.
Vehicles that have or suspect a defective ignition system may only be towed with the ignition control unit connector disconnected.
