Removing
Press the clamps on the cover of the ignition distributor with a screwdriver and remove the cover.
Mark the vacuum hoses and disconnect them from the ignition distributor.
Disconnect the wires from the ignition distributor.
Set cylinder 1 to top dead center. To do this, moving the car with the gear engaged, align the mark on the belt pulley with the connection line of the two halves of the crankcase (Figure 13-679). If the car is raised, with the gear engaged, turn the crankshaft by the rear wheel. At the same time, the tip of the ignition distributor runner must be directed to the cylinder 1 mark on the ignition distributor housing, see Figure 13-678.
Loosen the nut securing the ignition distributor bracket to the engine crankcase. Pull out the ignition distributor.
Installation
If necessary, replace the sealing ring of the ignition distributor.
Set cylinder 1 to top dead center, see above.
The offset spline in the head of the drive shaft of the ignition distributor must face the threaded hole or the bolt -arrow-. The small segment should face the water pump.
If the spacer spring was removed, insert it with a piece of welding wire. To do this, first insert the welding wire and then push on the spring.
When installing the ignition distributor, turn the distributor shaft by the distributor slider so that the notch on the slider is opposite the cylinder 1 mark on the edge of the ignition distributor housing. When installing the ignition distributor, the connecting part of the shaft enters the slot of the drive shaft with a slight turn.
Tighten the ignition distributor by hand.
Connect the vacuum hoses to the ignition distributor.
Connect the connector for communication with the TSZ-H control unit to the ignition distributor.
Install the ignition distributor cap.
Adjust ignition timing.
