Unscrew bolts securing transverse link of upper transverse link -2- and lower transverse link -3- from wheel bearing housing -4-. Unbolt stabilizer link -arrow- from wheel bearing housing.
Secure wheel bearing housing and remove bolts -arrows-. Remove stabilizer pin -1- from trailing arm.
Installation
Tightening the bolts of the trailing arm to the wheel bearing housing is possible only after installing all other suspension assemblies (spring and shock absorber must be installed). Before tightening the bolts, it is necessary to set the suspension to the position corresponding to the maximum rebound travel. Only then will the trailing arm and wheel bearing housing move into the required position -arrows-. In the further course of work, the prescribed sequence of operations must be strictly observed!
Screw in bolts for transverse link -1-, upper transverse link -2- and lower transverse link -3-, but do not completely tighten these bolts. Hand-tighten bolt of stabilizer link -arrow- to wheel bearing housing -4-. Screw in bolts -arrows- and insert stabilizer link -1- into trailing arm. Tighten bolt -arrow- for shock absorber. The tightening of the threaded connections for fastening the suspension elements to the wheel bearing housing can only be done after the suspension is installed in a position corresponding to the size "A"! Install coil spring. Tighten bolts for transverse link of upper transverse link -2- and lower transverse link -3-. Tighten nut -arrow- for stabilizer link. Tighten screws -arrows-. Install shield. Install the hub bearing assembly. Install the ABS speed sensor in the wheel bearing housing. Install brake disc. Install the caliper and brake caliper. Install the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.
Tightening torques
Wheel bearing housing to upper wishbone. Use only new bolts and nuts, tighten only in the position corresponding to the curb weight | 130 Nm and tighten by 90° |
Wheel bearing housing to lower wishbone. Use only new bolts and nuts, tighten only in the position corresponding to the curb weight | 90 Nm and tighten by 90° |
Wheel bearing housing to transverse link. Use only new bolts and nuts, tighten only in the position corresponding to the curb weight | 130 Nm and tighten by 90° |
Trailing arm to wheel bearing housing. Use only new bolts | 90 Nm and tighten by 45° |
Stabilizer bar to wheel bearing housing. Use only new nuts | 45 Nm |
Shield to wheel bearing housing | 12 Nm |
ABS speed sensor to wheel bearing housing | 8 Nm |
Shock absorber to wheel bearing housing. Use only new bolt | 180 Nm |
Brake disc to bearing assembly | 4 Nm |
