A new cotter pin needs to be prepared for the bearing crown nut.
Remove the hub cap and take out the cotter pin.
Tighten the hexagon nut SW 24 while rotating the wheel or wheel hub to prevent the bearings from seizing.
Loosen the nut.
The clearance is set correctly if the pressure plate behind the nut can still be moved with a screwdriver under moderate finger pressure. Do not rest the screwdriver on the wheel hub.
If the new cotter pin cannot be inserted now, then the nut is turned in the "Zu" direction (twisting)
The hub cap is inserted by lightly tapping it with a plastic hammer.
