Removal and installation a coil spring (VW Tiguan 1)

Remove the wheel. Install the compression tool "3" on the spring.

CAUTION: Ensure proper seating of the coil spring in the clamps -VAG 17S2/3A-2- (otherwise an accident is possible).

To compress the spring, rotate the lead screw of the device with a wrench or ratchet. Compress the coil spring until it can no longer be removed. Remove the spring.

Installation

The part must be in the installation position! The beginning of the spring "arrow" must be adjacent to the stop of the lower spring gasket. Install the spring together with the gasket. There is a cylindrical protrusion at the bottom of the gasket.

It must be inserted into the hole of the lower transverse arm "arrow".





Then install the upper gasket on the upper part of the spring. Spread the spring compression device jaws, while the recess of the upper spring gasket should be aligned with the corresponding protrusion on the body. Remove the spring compression device. Install the wheel and tighten its mounting bolts.
