Work execution procedure
Note: Remove and install ceramic glow plugs without tilting. Remove any components damaged during installation.
Remove the engine cover.
Remove the cylinder head cover.
Remove the plugs from the ceramic glow plugs.
Remove the ceramic glow plugs using a socket.
Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following.
Before installation, thoroughly clean the cylinder head holes from deposits.
Note: Do not lubricate the cylinder head bore threads or ceramic glow plugs.
Screw the ceramic glow plugs into the cylinder head by hand using a socket.
Then tighten the ceramic glow plugs. Tightening torque 12 Nm
Caution: After installation, check the resistance of all ceramic glow plugs before starting the engine for the first time.
Specified value max. 1 Ohm.
If the obtained data is greater than the specified value, replace the defective ceramic glow plug.
Note: If a defective ceramic glow plug has burst, all debris must be removed from the engine, otherwise there is a high risk of engine damage.
