Rear door lock cylinder (VW Passat B5)

Removal

1. Rotate the bracket so that the lifting rod (1) is aligned with the actuator motor (2).



2. Using the key, turn the lock cylinder (1) 90° clockwise (arrow A) and, pulling it towards you, remove it from the bracket (arrow B).

Installation

1. Insert the lock cylinder into the bracket (arrow A) and turn it 90° counterclockwise (arrow B).





2. Rotate the lock cylinder bracket so that the lifting rod (1) comes out of the actuator motor (2). Check that in this position the lock cylinder is firmly fixed in the bracket.
