Trunk lock fastening elements

• 1 - lock cylinder bracket,
• 2 - nut, 7 Nm,
• 3 - bar,
• 4 - handle,
• 5 - clamps,
• 6 - blind nuts,
• 7 - base for the license plate,
• 8 - castle,
• 9 - lever,
• 10 - nut, 7 Nm,
• 11 - central locking system actuator motor,
• 12 - thrust,
• 13 - hinge,
• 14 - lever

Warning: The lock cylinder can only be removed together with bracket 1.

Warning: Installation of blind nuts 6 is carried out using special pliers VW-1765A for riveting blind nuts.

Warning: To install rod 12 fully, move lever 14 and insert rod.

Removal

1. Remove the bracket together with the lock cylinder.

2. Unscrew the two nuts (2) and remove the handle mounting plate (3).

3. Remove the luggage compartment trim.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the trunk lock.

5. Release the rod mount (12).

6. Unscrew the nuts and remove the lock from the trunk lid.

7. Unscrew the central locking system motor and remove it from the boot lid.
