1 - bracket for rear door opener
Withdrawal
- Remove the lock cylinder housing -5- from the bracket
- Vehicles with central locking system: Disconnect plug connector from central locking actuator.
- Remove bolts -4- and remove bracket from rear door.
Installation
- Tighten the bolts securing the bracket to the rear door to 8 Nm, while first tightening the 2 inner bolts -4-.
- Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Withdrawal
- Remove the bracket -1- from the rear door
- Remove the opener from the rear door.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in reverse order.

5 - lock cylinder body with guide mechanism
Withdrawal
- Disconnect ground wire from battery (-).
Attention: Follow the instructions given in chapter «Removing and installing the battery».
- Open the tailgate and remove the tailgate lower trim, see next chapter.
- Vehicles with central locking system: Disconnect the plug at the lock cylinder housing.
- Detach cable -6-.
- Using a screwdriver, press locking clip -2- and remove lock cylinder body from bracket -1-.
Installation
- Press the retaining clip back and secure.
- Attach the body of the lock cylinder and fix it in the bracket with a clearly audible click.
- Further installation is carried out in the reverse order.

Withdrawal
- Disconnect ground wire from battery (-).
Attention: Follow the instructions given in chapter «Removing and installing the battery».
- Open the tailgate and remove the tailgate lower trim, see next chapter.
- Disconnect the plug connector of the lock.
- Detach cable -6-.
- Remove bolts -8- and remove lock from rear door.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order and only with a fixed latch of the lock.
- Tighten the bolts securing the lock to the rear door to 23 Nm.

Note: The figure shows the tailgate lock for vehicles without central locking. On vehicles with central locking system, screw control motor to bracket -1-. To remove the executive motor, you first need to remove the bracket from the rear door.
