Put a new protective cover on the shaft. Put a spring washer on the shaft with the concave side towards the joint. Clean the inner joint and put 120 g of grease in it.
Using a press, press the inner joint onto the shaft, directing its chamfered end forward. Install a new retaining ring. Push the protective cover into place and secure it with clamps, observing dimension "C" indicated in Fig. 4-82.
