To remove, relieve the pressure in the fuel injection line by disconnecting the hose from the control pressure fitting on the fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect the injector fuel lines from the metering unit. Remove the air duct connecting the air flow meter to the throttle body. Unscrew the bolts securing the metering unit with the air flow meter from the air filter housing and remove the metering unit and meter. If necessary, disconnect the metering unit from the air flow meter by unscrewing the three bolts on the metering unit. Be careful not to drop the distribution plunger. To install, place the metering unit with the air flow meter on the air filter housing. Tighten the bolts. Connect the fuel lines to the metering unit, replacing the gaskets. Put the connecting air duct on the air flow meter. Connect the control pressure line to the fuel pressure regulator, installing new gaskets.
Adjust engine idle speed.
