Removal and installation the heater electric fan (VW Passat B4)

Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the storage shelf on the passenger side by unscrewing the mounting screws (Fig. 9-32) and removing the mounting pin from the socket on the right side of the shelf.



Open the hood and remove the front body trim. Remove the air intake grille. Remove the air duct trim. Disconnect the connector from the resistor unit. Remove the electric fan assembly (Fig. 9-36). Install the electric fan in the reverse order of removal.
