Remove the cover of the ignition distributor, to do this, press the two clamping brackets on the side with a screwdriver.
The lid inside must be dry. Check the internal contacts for wear and corrosion; if necessary, clean the contacts with a needle file.
Check the central carbon contact for mobility and wear by pressing the contact with your finger.
Check the distributor cap for surface current leakage. The presence of leakage current is evidenced by thin uneven traces on the surface of the cover.
Wipe the cover with a clean, dry cloth and examine for microcracks. Replace cover if necessary. Finally, spray the inside of the cover with contact spray.
Remove the ignition distributor slider and check for microcracks. Both contacts, in the center and on the edge, must be clean, if necessary, clean the contacts.
Lubricate the distributor shaft felt with one drop of oil.
Install the distributor slider so that the protrusion of the slider is fixed in the groove of the distributor shaft. The slider can be easily rotated in both directions to make sure it fits securely.
Install the distributor cover so that the protrusion on the cover fits into the groove of the distributor housing. The lid is easy to press and secure with two clamping brackets. To do this, push the clamping clips one after the other onto the lid and press in the middle with your thumb until they lock into place on the lid. Turn the cover in both directions to make sure that it is securely fastened.
