Removing
Drain the coolant into a suitable container.
Disconnect the electrical plugs at the thermal switch at the bottom left of the radiator and at the fan motor. Release the wire ties.
Remove the upper and lower coolant hoses from the radiator after releasing the clamps.
Unscrew the upper radiator casing at the lock beam.
Unscrew the radiator at the bottom left and right, one bolt each at the rheino-metal cushion and remove the nuts with washers.
Unscrew the 2 bolts securing the upper radiator holders from the lock beam.
Tilt the radiator back and pull out as an assembly with the fan and fan bracket.
Installation
Replace worn rubber bushings and rubber-metal cushions.
Insert the heatsink with fan from above and screw down with a torque of 10 Nm.
Also tighten the upper radiator brackets with a torque of 10 Nm. The radiator should not be under heavy load.
Fit upper and lower coolant hoses and secure with clamps.
Connect the electrical wires of the fan and the thermal switch, secure the wires with clamps.
Fill in new coolant.
Caution: If a new radiator is installed, all coolant must be replaced.
After the test drive, check all connections between the radiator and the coolant hoses for leaks.
