Remove the hub cap, cotter pin 1 (see photo) and toothed stopper 2.
Unscrew the hex nut and remove the locking washer 3.
Insert a screwdriver into the threaded hole for the wheel mounting bolt and use the screwdriver to move the automatic clearance adjustment bar between the brake shoes and the brake drum upward.
Remove the hub, which is made integral with the brake drum, making sure that the inner bearing rings do not fall out.
The hub is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- before installing the hub, apply universal consistent grease to it;
- adjust the clearance in the hub bearings and install a new cotter pin.
