Press the outer half of the silent block out of the beam using puller 3111, bracket 2 (see fig.) and support 8.
Special tool kit VW 3111:
1 - puller;
2 — bracket;
3, 10 — flanges;
4 — centralizer;
5 - pressure sleeve;
6 - pressure bar;
7 - pressure ring;
8 — support;
9 - rod.
Press out the inner half of the silent block from the beam using the 3111/4 mandrel.

To press in a new silent block, use puller 3111, pressure plate 3111/1, as well as pressure ring 3046 and washer 30-11. When pressing in, direct the rubber-metal segment of the inner half of the silent block forward in the direction of vehicle travel, and the rubber-metal segment of the outer half, backward. In this case, it is necessary to maintain dimension "a" (see fig.), equal to 61.5-62.0 mm, between the ends of both halves of the silent block.
