Rear shock absorber
- 1 - gas-filled shock absorber;
- 2 - safety cap;
- 3 - protective cover;
- 4 - buffer;
- 5 - upper shock absorber mount;
- 6 - self-locking nut, 25 Nm. At installation it is necessary to use a new nut;
- 7 - decorative cap
Removing
1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) wheel speed sensor.
2. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire from the clip.
3. With the car on wheels, unscrew the bolts from under the car (1) upper attachment of the shock absorber to the car body.
4. To unload the rear suspension spring, slowly raise the rear of the vehicle until the wheel is 10 cm off the ground.
5. Remove the rear spring from the supports and remove it from under the car. If necessary, the assistant should turn the rear suspension beam down.
6. Unscrew the nut and remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, then remove the shock absorber from under the car.
Installation
1. Install the shock absorber in place, insert the shock absorber mounting bolt and screw the nut onto it, without completely tightening it.
2. Install the spring so that the extreme coils of the spring are correctly located on the supports.
3. Lower the vehicle to the ground so that the rear wheels are on the ground, but you can access the rear shock absorber upper mounting bolts.
4. Fasten the upper part of the shock absorber to the body with new bolts and tighten them to a torque of 75 Nm.
5. Lower the car completely and put one person in the back seat.
6. Tighten the bolt and nut of the lower mounting of the rear shock absorber to 60 Nm.
