Gearbox adjustment (VW Golf 2)

Adjustment of the units and parts of the gearbox after its assembly is necessary in case of replacement of a number of units and parts listed in Table 21. It should be remembered that all removed (if they were previously installed) must be put in place. Special devices will be required for adjustments.

Adjusting the play of the primary shaft. It is not necessary to adjust the play of the primary shaft with a five-speed gearbox. But when assembling, you must return all previously removed parts to their place (if they were installed) adjusting washers.
