General information
1. To ensure maximum strength with minimum care, the engine must not only be properly assembled, but we must also take care of cleanliness during assembly. All oil paths must be installed in the appropriate places. During assembly, carefully lubricate with engine oil all liners and other working surfaces, such as the lips of the seals and the surfaces of the trunnions on which they work.
2. Before starting assembly, all bolts and studs with damaged threads must be replaced.
3. You need to prepare: a torque wrench, a hand oiler, a clean rag, a set of wrenches for hex socket head bolts with a multi-groove socket, and a set of gaskets and seals, as well as a new oil filter
4. The place of work should be clean and well lit.
5. All parts must be thoroughly washed, dried and laid out on clean paper.
6. First, we mount individual components, such as, for example, a head, an oil pump, pistons with connecting rods, a water pump, if it was disassembled. Then we assemble the engine from these nodes. The sequence of these actions is as follows:
A) We insert the main liners into the frames and mount the crankshaft.
b) We insert the pistons with connecting rods and screw them to the crankshaft.
V) We squeeze the back cover with a seal.
G) We put on the cover plate and squeeze the flywheel, as well as squeeze the clutch.
d) We put on the front cover of the crankshaft if these are engines of 1.1 and 1.3 liters, together with the oil pump we pressurize the tube of the vessel.
e) Installing the injection pump bracket (1.6D engines).
and) Install and clamp the oil pump (engines 1.6 and 1.8).
h) We put on and clamp the timing gear on the crankshaft.
And) We put on and clamp the oil sump.
To) We put on a water pump.
l) We put the distribution belt on the crankshaft gear.
m) We put on the lower cover of the distribution.
n) We put pulleys on the crankshaft and on the water pump.
O) We clamp the bracket with the oil filter.
P) We install the pistons in a position where none of them is at TDC. Then we install the gasket under the head and fasten the head completely, remembering the sequence of tightening the bolts.
R) Installing the timing belt tensioner (not available on models where the water pump is the tensioner).
With) We install the injection pump, pressing it to the carrier plate and bracket.
T) We install the distribution, put the distribution belt on the camshaft gear and tighten it.
at) We put on the top cover of the distribution.
f) We put on the gasket and clamp the valve cover.
7. At the end, we put on the remaining engine equipment and press the gearbox.
