Removal and installation the battery (VW Golf 2)

1. Tilt the cover forward on the left side and remove.

2. Disconnect the battery wires from the clamps first to ground, and then to the positive drive.

3. Unscrew the bolt of the plate securing the battery to the body, then remove it together with the plate.

4. Pull the battery forward, lift it from the side, and then remove it towards the center of the vehicle.

Installation

5. Insert the battery. Screw in the bolt securing the plates.

6. Connect the positive wire and then the ground wire. The positive battery terminal clamps should be facing the passenger compartment.
